God's Table; A Faithful Journey back to our provider
God’s Table
Sweet milk from a mother’s breast
Taken away as the child protests
How will I live
How will I live
But mother knows what’s next
The savory fulfillment of her table’s food
Delighted the child
And calmed the mood
Oh Yes The Lord has something better for you
A man’s coin can buy you things
But only God can make change
Oh Yes The Lord has something better for you
God's Table: A Faithful Journey
Hey there, I hope you enjoyed God's Table. It represents one of the greatest challenges that I am facing in my spiritual journey. Which is learning to see God as my provider and my comfort. I have always believed in God, but I must admit that I haven't always trusted God with my life.
The poem is symbolic, I am the child, and the milk represents money and my dependency on it. My belief that money sustains my life has caused constant inner turmoil. I've prayed on this for years, God's words to me were "Money is not what gave you life, something greater did that”.
I pray a lot because my mind tends to forget how good God is. I can be living strong and Faithfully and become a complete wreck when something goes wrong. Ultimately God's way is always right and on time. I'm learning to embrace this kind of Faith.
I pray for clarity and from detachment from the material world that I am living in. Truly letting go and falling into the arms of God is hard. Faith is hard, but I am coming through. I want to eat at God's table, where the food is abundant and it gives life. God is my home and my way forward.
I'd like to encourage you to continue being faithful and to allow God to bring change into your life. Do something that makes you happy. Whatever your heart desires, be bold because God is faithful.
Faith Lives here is the second candle that I made. I did so during a difficult season in my life, I was suffering through depression. My spirit was weak, and I had very little Faith. I had enough Faith to start this business and to build it with the help of God. This is what makes this candle so special to me. My Faith carried me through. I burn it during prayer to help bring myself back to center.
I know that life will always have challenges, but Faith lives in the hearts of the Faithful, it doesn't leave us. We just have to remember that God is present, and God is good.
I am living proof of God's faithfulness.
